Our Practice

Oregon Coast Allergy & Sinus provides highly individualized treatment for people who suffer with chronic sinusitis and nasal allergies.

Dr. W. Wallace Webster, MD, our board-certified ear, nose and throat specialist (otolaryngologist) and head and neck surgeon brings his expert training, credentials and long experience in treatment of sinus and allergy conditions to patients in southern Oregon, the Oregon coast and beyond.

At Oregon Coast Allergy & Sinus, you are more than just a patient. Dr. Webster takes the time to learn and focus on your specific, unique circumstances, needs and concerns. Understanding you as a person is as important to Dr. Webster as the clinical knowledge, skill and experience he delivers toward improving your quality of life and health to the greatest extent possible.

Your Initial Exam and Consultation

At your initial appointment with Dr. Webster, he will review your health history, symptoms, concerns and experience with sinus infections. He will also conduct a thorough head and neck examination. In some cases, additional examinations may be performed, including a nasal endoscopy to allow for closer examination of your nasal passages and sinus openings. In cases of deep inflammation or physical obstruction that is difficult to detect from an endoscopic sinus exam, an imaging test (most commonly a CT or “CAT scan”) may need to be ordered.

If allergies are suspected as the primary cause of your sinusitis, Dr. Webster may also prescribe allergy testing, particularly if you have not had allergy testing recently. Oregon Coast Allergy & Sinus also offers in-office allergy testing and multiple types of in-office as well as home-based allergy treatment as may be indicated by the results of allergy testing and diagnosis.

At the conclusion of your examination (and test results is applicable), Dr. Webster will share his findings with you and recommend specific treatment for your condition.

Please be aware that patients often need to be evaluated before in-office procedures can be performed. Depending on your health insurance, a prior authorization for treatment may need to be obtained from your insurance provider before a procedure may be performed.

If you have had any recent blood work (labs) or imaging (CT, ultrasound, MRI), please advise us in advance at the time you schedule your appointment so we can obtain those results prior to your visit.

Please bring to your initial consultation information about your past medical history including:

  • All currently prescribed medications
  • Any medication allergies
  • Non-prescription medications that you use regularly including supplements and vitamins
  • Prior surgical procedures
